My Wife Asked Me Why I've Been "Different" Lately. I Showed Her A Fizzy Tablet & She Ordered Me 6 More.
I showed her a fizzy tablet & she ordered me 6 more.
I'm going to tell you something embarrassing.
For the better part of two years, I was the guy who "fell asleep on the couch." Every night. Conveniently before bedtime.
My wife never said anything directly. She's not that type. But I could feel it. The distance. The little sighs. The way she stopped reaching for me at night.
It wasn't that I didn't want her. I did. I just didn't trust my body to show up when it mattered. At 46, everything still technically "worked" – but barely. Like a car that starts on the third try. Not exactly the energy you want to bring to the bedroom.
I tried the obvious stuff. Zinc. Ashwagandha. Those "male enhancement" pills from Instagram that come in black bottles with flames on them. I even did the whole testosterone panel with my doctor. Everything came back "normal."
Normal. Cool. So WHY did I feel like a deflated version of myself?
